Ford Kuramoto

Dr. Kuramoto, DSW, LSCW, President of Magna Systems, has over 30 years of experience in the substance abuse and mental health fields. He was on the staff of the National Institute of Mental Health in Rockville, Maryland. He was on the faculty of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Medicine; and the Nova Southeastern University Graduate Program in Addiction Studies. Dr. Kuramoto served on the SAMHSA National Network to End Disparities (NNED) steering committee, the National Institute on Drug Abuse Asian and Pacific Islander Workgroup, the Behavior Change Expert Panel for the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy Media Campaign, and the SAMHSA National Advisory Council. He earned a B.A. in Psychology at UCLA and received his doctorate in Social Work from the University of Southern California. Dr. Kuramoto is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California and holds a Lifetime Pupil Personnel Services credential.
